Varane, what a nightmare!

Rather in good shape at the start of the season with Manchester United, Raphaël Varane was stopped by yet another injury on Saturday during the match against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford.

The Northerner (now 30 years old) had been on his feet since the start of the season and in particular against Nottingham Forest attackers this Saturday at Old Trafford, as part of the 3rd day of the Premier League. But he complained of pain before half-time and Victor Lindelöf was sent directly to the warm-up during half-time in order to take the place of the ex-French international for the second half.

Last season, Varane missed 6 matches in October and November and 7 in April, each time due to muscle tear. Besides the ex-Real Madrid player, Erik ten Hag can count on Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelöf and a Harry Maguire who has not yet left.
