The last meeting of this Saturday in La Liga offered a great confrontation between Sevilla FC and Girona on behalf of the 3rd day of the Spanish championship. The Sevillians, at home, were quick to concede the first goal of this meeting, a few seconds after the end of the first quarter of an hour only (16th, 0-1), but Nemanja Gudelj equalized in added time of the first period to put the two teams tied (45th + 2, 1-1).
Returning from the locker room, Aleix Garcia restored the advantage to the visitors (56th, 1-2) who managed to keep this victory until the final whistle despite numerous attacks from José Luis Mendilibar’s players. Sevilla FC is therefore already in trouble with this fourth defeat in as many games at the start of the season (three defeats in La Liga and a defeat in the final of the UEFA Super Cup).
