As such, the Mersey club has set its sights on a player playing in Germany. According to Kickerthe residents of Anfield are eyeing Piero Hincapié.
The Ecuadorian defender is attracting interest all over Europe and after two years at Bayer Leverkusen, he could well be tempted by a new challenge abroad. To secure his services, the Reds will however have to align themselves with the financial requirements of the German club. As a reminder, the 21-year-old extended his lease until 2027 last spring. While waiting for a concrete offer to come his way, Piero Hincapié is slowly recovering from a metatarsal injury and should be fit to compete before the international break.
