Romelu Lukaku promises to be Mauricio Pochettino’s first big headache as Chelsea manager.
Rumors are filtering in claiming the Belgium striker isn’t even in terms of conversation with his new boss, as he tries to move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
Lukaku has managed to irritate a range of personalities and clubs this summer, with Inter and Juventus fans protesting the possibility of their respective teams signing the 30-year-old hitman.
In particular, the former Manchester United striker infuriated Inter after it emerged he was in secret talks with Juventus in an attempt to sign him for a third time.
Juve now appear to be in a position to reach a deal but they need to find a way to get rid of Dusan Vlahovic. The Serie A side were hoping to use the Serbia international as leverage in a swap deal, but Chelsea don’t want the former Fiorentina player leaving Lukaku in limbo.
According to TelegramLukaku, who signed for the Blues for 113 million euros in 2021 from Inter, is doing everything possible to leave Chelsea, where he is training with the U21s.
It’s confirmed that Lukaku, who is under contract until 2026, hasn’t even spoken to Pochettino which indicates that there is a frosty relationship between the striker and the club’s hierarchy.
