Because according to information from L’Équipe, Jean-Charles Castelleto would have expressed his wish not to participate in the match against AS Monaco, scheduled for this Friday at 9 p.m. on behalf of the 3rd day of Ligue 1.
Mercato: a showdown started with a senior player
This decision is akin to a real standoff in a period when the Nantes team needs the services of its defender. After recording the departure of Andrei Girotto, Castelleto remains an essential element in Pierre Aristouy’s system. But the former Auxerrois would like to pack his bags to take up a new challenge. And he would not have appreciated that his management did not open the dialogue with the clubs which are interested in him. L’Équipe notably mentions the approaches of Trabzonspor and Cagliari.
While the positions of the two parties are very far apart, Nantes is forced to anticipate a negative outcome, namely the departure of its player. With this in mind, the name of the Swiss defender Eray Cömert evolving in Valencia would be studied.
