Cristiano Ronaldo walked off the pitch in anger after seeing three penalties announced by Al-Nassr fall on deaf ears.
Saudi Pro League side faced Shabab Al-Ahli in an AFC Champions League play-off on Tuesday and Ronaldo was not very happy at half-time.
He saw three penalty attempts disallowed before the break, getting knocked down in the box twice before having his volley blocked by the hand of an Al-Ahli defender. Ronaldo had a long argument with the officials and was heard shouting: ” Wake up ! ” wake up ! “. He also brushed off a man who appeared to want to take a selfie with him on the sidelines.
Ronaldo had a similarly frustrating night in Al-Nassr’s last game, struggling to find his stride as his side lost a surprise Saudi Pro League defeat to Al-Taawoun. Luis Castro’s side also lost to Al-Ettifaq in their first game, which his player missed through injury.
Fortunately for Ronaldo, he and his team put an end to the frustrations of the first half by winning 4-2 against their Emirati opponents.
