Benzema in rebellion, departure in sight!

Nuno Espirito Santo has reportedly told Al-Ittihad board that Real Madrid legend Karim Benzema doesn’t match his tactical style.

The Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat claims that Nuno informed the board that Benzema didn’t match his style. The newspaper also claim that the former Tottenham manager did not ask for the ex-Real Madrid striker’s signature which caused real tension between the two men in the dressing room.

Benzema also reportedly asked to be captain at Al-Ittihad, which the Portuguese coach reportedly refused. The Ballon d’Or doesn’t feel comfortable in Al-Ittihad’s current environment which could open the door for a surprise move.

Benzema has featured twice for Al-Ittihad this season and, while he didn’t score, he provided an assist in the 3-0 win over Al-Raed.
