Real Madrid are always looking for nuggets to secure their future. While the Merengues notably got their hands on Arda Guler this summer, Florentino Perez’s recruitment teams are attracted by young stars from the European market. And according to recent information from SportFlorian Wirtz is particularly observed by the Madrid board.

According to the Catalan media, the 20-year-old German attacking midfielder represents a viable solution to be recruited from next summer. While he shines in Bayer Leverkusen shaped by Xabi Alonso (4 goals and 8 assists in 25 games last season), Wirtz has already scored in the first Bundesliga match last weekend. From the same generation as Jude Bellingham, the native of Pulheim is considered an ideal option to strengthen Real’s midfield in 2024 when the departures of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are expected.
