Announced on the departure side of Olympique de Marseille, Mattéo Guendouzi is courted by Lazio Rome and Galatasaray.

Loaned to OM by Arsenal during the 2021-2022 season, Mattéo Guendouzi convinced the Marseille club to transfer him permanently. Much appreciated by Jorge Sampaoli when the latter was a coach, the tricolor international was however downgraded by the Argentinian’s successor in the summer of 2022, Igor Tudor. Now, the Marseille club is looking to sell a player whose economic potential is significant. It remains to be seen whether the main interested party will wish to leave. The candidates are in any case at the rendezvous.

In the sights of several Premier League teams last winter, Mattéo Guendouzi had finally decided to stay on the Canebière. This summer, the midfielder is in demand again and Marseille would like to sell him at a good price. Lazio Rome would thus be in the running but has not yet made an offer that meets the expectations of President Pablo Longoria. At the same time, another suitor has made himself known since Galatasaray would also like to offer the services of the Frenchman.

Galatasaray still wants to strengthen

According to Provence, the Turkish club which has already recruited Mauro Icardi, Wilfried Zaha and obtained the loan of Hakim Ziyech, could draw an offer. The estimated value of Mattéo Guendouzi is estimated at some twenty-five million euros. The native of Poissy is under contract with Olympique de Marseille until June 2025.
