Neymar might not be the biggest sale in PSG history. According to Romain Molina, the Brazilian would have been transferred to Saudi Arabia for a sum much lower than that which circulated in the media.
On August 15, Al-Hilal formalized the arrival of Neymar for two years. The Saudi club has secured the services of the international Auriverde against a transfer fee estimated by several media at just under 100 million euros, bonus included. However, according to Romain Molina, this amount would be totally overvalued.
“When I hear the amount that was paid for the transfer of Neymar, I laugh. It’s a communication game. Al-Hilal never paid that amount.”said the journalist on his YouTube channel. “The Saudis have more of a Turkish logic, that is to say that if they can not pay a transfer, they prefer”, specifies the one who also exercises the professions of author and lecturer. In PSG’s official statement announcing the sale of Neymar to Al-Hilal, no amount was mentioned.
” The real problem that there has been in European football is the sums that have been announcedadds Romain Molina. It is the fault of certain media exploited by agents who wanted to boast. (…) Benzema, 200 million euros… It was fake. So that prompted the others to say to themselves: “if Benzema takes 200, I’m going to take 100, 150…” But no, Benzema takes around 30 million euros a year in salary, and maybe he there are other things besides. »
