PSG players had to vote a second time for their team captain and Marquinhos once again emerged victorious ahead of Kylian Mbappé.
Promoted captain of the France team after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Kylian Mbappé does not achieve this same status at PSG. The Parisian club has nevertheless offered an improbable soap opera (one more) concerning the captaincy of the Rouge et Bleu this season. Contested only in leadership but also sportingly lately, Marquinhos keeps his armband.
Luis Enrique voted by a show of hands last week, confirming the status of the Brazilian defender. But the management of PSG, believing that the players could not publicly disavow “Marqui”, organized a real ballot, by secret ballot, on Tuesday. Mbappé first vice-captain?
