The end is near between Hugo Lloris and Tottenham. The beautiful love story that has lasted for 11 years should end in the coming days. The English club, which recruited Gugliemo Vicario from Empoli this summer for €20 million and already brilliant against Manchester United in the Premier League last weekend, is even ready to facilitate the departure of its former captain to allow him to find a new project to suit him.

For a long time, the most capped player in the history of the France team (145 selections), did not really have a way out, but two weeks ago, Lazio stood out. The Italian club even quickly conducted negotiations which were on the way to completion under the impetus of Claudio Lotito, its president. Problem, the latter had not really informed his coach Maurizio Sarri, who did not want a new potential number one in goal.

Lazio have resumed negotiations with Lloris

He is already satisfied with Ivan Provedel, promoted last season ahead of Luís Maximiano, who left for Almeria a few days ago on loan. Despite himself and not yet arrived in the transalpine capital, Lloris was already the subject of tensions within Lazio. Arriving in these conditions is not attractive, especially since the former Nice player wants to play as number one and not as a luxury understudy.

RMC Sports mentioned the cessation of negotiations but according to the latest information from Sky Sport Italia, discussions have resumed between Lloris and the 2nd in Serie A last year, who really wants his signature. The Italian media highlights the experience of the 36-year-old Frenchman, especially in the European Cup where Provedel has only six Europa League matches in the gloves. No doubt the parties had to discuss again the status of the player and the conditions of his arrival…
