A complicated victory against a rival well behind – the first of the season for the Catalans – in the middle of the transfer window, in a context where Xavi asked for several recruits from his management.
We know in particular that the former midfielder wants a right lane player – Cancelo is the favorite – as well as an attacking player. In recent weeks, there has been a lot of talk about João Félix, whom Atlético wants to get rid of. The Portuguese international had publicly declared his laziness at the Catalan club in July: “I would love to play for Barça. Barcelona has always been my first choice and I would like to join Barça. It’s always been my dream since I was a kid. If that happens, it will be a dream come true for me.”.

A media release that many interpret as confirmation of the Catalans’ serious interest in the Portuguese.
Only, as indicated Report, the Portuguese is not considered a priority by the Barcelonians, especially for financial reasons. There have certainly been very strong rumours, with an exchange even involving Ansu Fati, but currently Barca are working on other avenues. But who knows, when you know how influential Jorge Mendes is at Barcelona…
