Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr club are set to shell out £77m for Aymeric Laporte and Otavio as Saudi spending continues to soar.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Al-Nassr are set to sign Laporte and Otavio from Manchester City and Porto respectively next week.
Laporte, who City have been trying to sell all summer, will cost the Saudi Pro League club around £26million. For its part, the club of Ronaldo will pay 51 million pounds to secure the services of the Portuguese midfielder Otavio.
There are reports that Laporte will earn £21million per season. The Otavio operation will break Porto’s sales record, although the Portuguese giants will receive payment in instalments.
Al-Nassr can already count on Ronaldo, Sadio Mané and Marcelo Brozovic in their ranks, but they lost their first two matches of the Saudi Pro League season. Ronaldo hopes that the arrivals of Laporte and Otavio will reverse the trend.
