Edin Dzeko has compared Erling Haaland and Karim Benzema, while sharing the qualities that set the Manchester City player apart.
Haaland is arguably the best striker in the world today, a title held by former Real Madrid player Benzema a year ago when he won the 2022 Ballon d’Or. the newspaper MillyetFenerbahçe striker Edin Dzeko compared the two scorers.
“Benzema is one of the best strikers of the last ten years,” Dzeko said. ” Haaland will be one of the best strikers of the next ten years. They are different. Haaland is like an animal! He is hungry for goals. I haven’t seen those qualities in a player recently. Benzema is a classy, technical and quality player.
Dzeko also spoke about the role he played in Man City’s Premier League triumph in 2012. “I scored the second goal for Manchester City in the league game. It’s probably a once-in-a-career event. You might win games in the final minutes, but to score two goals in the final two minutes and win the Premier League was an amazing feeling, especially after the scare we had in the second half. We became champions after 44 years, it’s impossible to explain”.
