Liverpool star striker since 2017, Mohamed Salah overtook Steven Gerrard on Saturday in the ranking of the top scorers in the history of the Reds.

It was from the penalty spot, scored in two stages after hitting Neto, the Bournemouth goalkeeper, that Mohamed Salah opened his goal counter this season with Liverpool on Saturday in the Premier League.

The Egyptian left-hander, incredible scorer for the Reds since his arrival in 2017, enters a little more in the history of the LFC by overtaking Steven Gerrard in the ranking of the club’s top scorers, with 187 achievements in all competitions.

Salah is only 5th in this ranking, with the new objective of catching up with Scotsman Billy Liddell, author of 228 goals. The 31-year-old, under contract until 2025, is however very far from being able to get closer to Anfield legend Ian Rush, who has scored 346 times.
