Liverpool could suit Kylian Mbappé, suggested his compatriot Marcel Desailly, in the context of the saga concerning the Bondynois and his current employer: Paris Saint-Germain.
The Parisian superstar was sent into exile and forced to train with a fringe group after refusing to trigger the extension of his contract which would keep him at the Parc des Princes until 2025.
However, the management of the Ile-de-France team has reached an agreement with Mbappé, “following very constructive and positive discussions”and he was reinstated in the PSG group for the Toulouse match.
Despite the current fragile truce, Marcel Desailly has suggested his compatriot look for new horizons and believes the former Monaco star will be the perfect replacement for Sadio Mané at Liverpool.
“Liverpool are not at the end of a cycle, unlike Chelsea. The choice he has to make is not one or two years, but four or five years. So when the rumors talk about a one-year loan, I don’t see that.”he said at the microphone of BoyleSports.
” But Liverpool didn’t sell most of their players, they managed to keep a base at Anfield. They experienced a decline after many years of good results, which was linked to the sale of Sadio Mané. They did not replace Mané with someone who was going to be as good, someone who had his philosophy and his impact. I think Liverpool could suit Mbappé to fill that hole.”he added.
