FC Barcelona hope to generate as much money as possible during this summer’s transfer window, in order to improve their financial situation as well as Xavi Hernandez’s team.

The club have already sold Ousmane Dembele, Franck Kessié and Nico Gonzalez, and other departures are being considered, such as those of Clément Lenglet and Ansu Fati.

Barcelona could also make money from the sale clauses. Jean-Clair Todibo, Juan Miranda and Philippe Coutinho have all been transferred and, in the case of the latter, the Catalan club have a 50% sell clause.

As Fabrizio Romano reports, several Qatari clubs are hoping to land Coutinho, who has also attracted interest from Saudi Arabia in recent weeks.

FC Barcelona will lick their chops at the thought of this possibility. Middle Eastern clubs have spent big so far this summer, and they hope they will do the same for Coutinho, in order to be able to bring in some serious money.
