A new recruit arrives at Chelsea. This Friday, the London club has just announced on its networks and its official website the arrival of Belgian midfielder Roméo Lavia. The midfielder arrives from Southampton for the sum of 67 million euros. The Belgian has signed a 7-year contract with the 2021 European champions.
The Blues secure their midfield with a new reinforcement. After Moises Caicedo a few days ago who meanwhile signed for the record sum of 133 million euros, it is around the young Belgian to land in the English capital.

Tracked by Liverpool, the 19-year-old finally chose to join Mauricio Pochettino’s squad. Despite his young age, the Argentine coach intends to rely on his player this season where competition will be fierce.
Last season under the colors of Southampton, Roméo Lavia was one of the most used players in the squad. He took part in 34 matches in all competitions for a total of 1 goal.

He also took his first steps in the selection in March 2023 against Germany (victory 3 goals to 2). There is no doubt that he will be the present and the future of the Belgian selection from now on.
The Belgian international could also make his debut in his new colors this Sunday during the second day of the Premier League on the lawn of West Ham.
