RC Lens is on the verge of reaching an agreement with Montpellier for the transfer of Elye Wahi. But the player has not yet made his choice.

Things are moving in the Elye Wahi file! RC Lens, which now seems to have made the Montpellier striker its priority objective for the recruitment of a center forward, is close to an agreement with the MHSC for the transfer of the international hopefuls, according to RMC. The amount should be between 35 and 40 million euros, including bonuses.

But the Lensois supporters would do well not to rejoice too quickly, because the deal is far from over. RMC adds indeed that West Ham is also on the spot, and would also be close to finding common ground with Montpellier. Eintracht Frankfurt are the other club to tick Wahi off their list, but the Germans are waiting to hear more about Randal Kolo Muani’s future before moving on.

The ball is therefore in the court of the player, who must therefore position himself and make a choice between these different options. In the meantime, the French international hopeful will not make the trip with his club to Lyon this weekend. On Twitter, Mohamed Toubache-Ter made it clear that it was the player who had not honored the summons of his coach, Michel Der Zakarian.
