Man City: De Bruyne’s replacement already found?

Following the injury of Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City could try to recruit Dani Olmo from Leipzig.

If Manchester City started his season with a 3-0 victory on the lawn of Burnley, the Cityzens had to face a hell of a blow with the injury of Kevin De Bruyne to the hamstrings which will force the Belgian to go through the operation box. The Skyblues playmaker should therefore be absent at least until the start of 2024, which obviously represents a big void in Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Olmo to City?

But the transfer window only closing in two weeks, the European champion could take the opportunity to fill the void left by De Bruyne by recruiting a new attacking asset. For that, they could again turn to the RB Leipzig, where they signed Josko Gvardiol for 90 million euros. If Gianluca Di Marzio’s information is to be believed, City could turn to Dani Olmo to strengthen his attacking game.

But the 25-year-old player, a regular starter with the Spanish selection for a year, has already stood out with a hat-trick (including an exceptional goal) against Bayern Munich in the German Supercup. As with Gvardiol, the RBL could get greedy and claim a price tag between €80m and €100m.
