As Saudi Arabia continue to blast the transfer market this summer, Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Unai Simon is regularly targeted as the next target for Saudi clubs. After several big hits, like Kalidou Koulibaly, Rúben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic or even Malcolm, author of a resounding hat-trick on the first day of the Saudi Pro League, Al-Hilal even looked very seriously at the 26-year-old doorman at the end of last July.
For its part, Tottenham had dropped the case because of the too high price of the Spanish porter, estimated at around 45/50 million euros. And despite the interest of all these teams, Unai Simon has decided to stay in Bilbao, as he confided in a press conference. “I get tired of saying it sometimes, but I’m not going anywhere. I will be here until the club decides otherwise. Don’t worry about it”, notably entrusted the principal concerned. The message got through!
