While his transfer from Manchester United to West Ham seemed complete, Harry Maguire could finally not go to London. Negotiations are stalled.
Everything seemed to be complete and nothing was to stop Manchester United from selling one of their biggest flops of the last decade. An agreement with West Ham had been reached in recent days for a sale turning around 35 million euros. The case was in the bag… Until Harry Maguire came along to derail the case.
Anyway, that’s what it says The Guardian this Tuesday. The English media explains that the negotiations between United and West Ham would now be stopped, the fault of a request from the international defender to the Red Devils. Harry Maguire hoped to leave the Mancunian club with a small nest egg in his pocket valued at some 8 million euros. A sum that Manchester United would not like to pay him.
Further discussions?
These parallel negotiations between the player and his club would therefore have ended up getting the better of West Ham’s patience. Still according to the media, the discussions are therefore indeed at a standstill and should not resume for several days. If however they resume.
