Barely resigning in Italy, Roberto Mancini will take charge of a new national team.
Roberto Mancini should not remain unemployed for too long. After submitting his resignation to the FIGC on Saturday evening, the transalpine technician began discussions with another national federation. And it is not excluded that the steps are linked.
Mancini bounces back in the Gulf
According to Sports Zone, Mancini has started talks for the Saudi Arabia coaching job. And the deal would have already been tied up. Against an annual salary of 20 million dollars, the interested party agreed to lead the Falcons of the Desert. He will also have a role with the federation. It will not be his first experience abroad since he has also coached before in Turkey, Russia and England.
Mancini’s first assignment with Saudi Arabia is expected to be the Asian Cup of Nations, scheduled for early next year in Qatar.
As a reminder, among the Saudis, Mancini would succeed Frenchman Hervé Renard. The latter had left his job last February to take care of the women’s tricolor team.
Note that to replace Mancini at the head of the Squadra Azzurra it is Luciano Spalletti (ex Napoli) who stands out.
