Man United’s new goalkeeper Andre Onana has spoken of his aspirations now that he is part of one of England’s biggest clubs.
André Onana, Manchester United’s new number 1, has just said loud and clear that he wants to become a Red Devils legend. To follow in the footsteps of Petr Schmeichel or Edwin Van Der Sar is his main objective.
Onana wants to be “an MU legend”
The former Inter Milan goalkeeper is aiming high, but he also recognizes that he has everything to prove. He knows he still has to improve, even if he has the status of African vice-champion.
He said in an interview with Mundo Deportivo: “I want to become a Manchester United legend and the best goalkeeper in the world.” Just that.
The Indomitable Lion also returned to the suspension he experienced for doping while he was still at Ajax. “A lot of people read the headlines: Onana disqualified for doping. It’s a cheat, a dope. When my suspension expired, I celebrated as if I had won the Champions League. I’m back to business.”
As a reminder, at the time, Onana had been very close to committing to OL. But his unavailability had led Rhone officials to abandon this track.
