Undesirable in Nice, the Danish goalkeeper Kasper Scmeichel is about to revive in a club of a whole new dimension.
Kasper Schmeichel, who was downgraded to Nice during the off-season, has a good chance of returning to the Premier League.
Schmeichel back in England?
The Dane has an exit ticket. If he finds a new club, he can leave for free without transfer compensation. And that new club could be Chelsea. According to the Guardian, the Blues think of him as a replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga. The latter is about to be loaned to Real Madrid to compensate for the defection for several months of Thibaut Courtois.
Schmeichel would sign for Chelsea as a cover for new No.1 Robert Sanchez. Talks are currently underway between the different parties and the Scandinavian is open to a new challenge.
The Premier League is not unknown to him. Between 2011 and 2022, he wore the colors of Leicester City. In 2016, he was even among the great architects of the championship title acquired by the Foxes.
