The new PSG striker, Gonçalo Ramos, has sent a message to OM and all their supporters.
Gonçalo Ramos, the new center-forward of PSG, was not very successful in his first with the champions of France. Saturday evening, against Lorient, he remained silent and quite discreet in front. The former Benfica player is however not worried. He is certain to score many goals soon and to do so especially against Marseille.
Ramos wants to do as well as Pauleta
The Portuguese international is indeed already perfectly aware of the rivalry between PSG and OM. He also knows that his illustrious compatriot Pedro Pauleta scored a magnificent goal against the Phocaeans during a Classic at the beginning of the century. “And I must do everything to match it”, he said in an interview with Canal+.
Ramos therefore wants to follow in the footsteps of the Eagle of the Azores. Nevertheless, he warns: “Nobody is going to replace anybody. I come here to show who Gonçalo Ramos is and give the best of himself”.
Its price does not disturb it
Recruited for an amount of 50M€ (including the paid loan), Ramos has great pressure on his shoulders. However, he assures us that it does not bother him at all. “It’s just a number. What interests me is where I am and what I can do and the rest doesn’t matter”. More than apprehension, it is curiosity that drives him at the moment: “I’m curious because everything is new. This is the biggest unknown for me. But I think it’s going to be a good experience.”

Finally, he expressed his confidence in the success of the new Parisian project: “Once the president and the sporting director spoke to me and I knew the ideas of the coach, it was the end point to embrace the project. Our goal is to win it all. It’s not going to be easy, but that’s our goal.”
