The first day of La Liga between Getafe and FC Barcelona kept all its promises, at least in terms of entertainment. In addition to the choppy game during the entire meeting, the two teams neutralized each other after a long battle (0-0). In the process, Xavi denounced the arbitration of Cesar Soto Grado, guilty in his eyes of having favored Getafe. And inevitably, it does not pass for José Bordalas, the coach of the Aluzones. According to the latter, Xavi would not return “service to our championship by boasting of being one of the best in the world”.

He adds in a press conference: “The greatness of football is such that a small team is able to take a point from Barcelona. I don’t agree with him and that’s obviously a way of justifying the fact that they didn’t get the three points with a great team, with incredible players. They gave us a lot more boxes. I don’t think it benefited us. The most aggressive game was played by Barcelona and I have nothing to add. It’s a way to camouflage the good game of my players. It would not occur to me to justify a defeat or a draw by the game of the opponent. Remarks contrary to those made by Xavi, who believes that the referee was far too lenient towards Getafe. The Aluzones can nevertheless be satisfied to have taken a point against an opponent much stronger on paper.
