Promoted to Tottenham captain this season, Son Heung-Min caused a penalty for the first time in his Premier League career, in a Spurs draw at Brentford (2-2) on Sunday.

Without their star striker Harry Kane (sold to Bayern on Friday) and for the first of Ange Postecoglou (former coach of Australia and coach of Celtic last season), Tottenham did not manage to impose themselves on the field of Brentford, in West London, Sunday afternoon, opening the Premier League (2-2).

Promoted captain of Spurs, Son Heung-min, in addition to not saving his team from a magic strike, caused his very first penalty in the English league. Cristian Romero had opened the scoring on a corner from James Maddison (11th), but Bryan Mbeumo was able to equalize on this penalty caused by the South Korean (26th). Yoane Wissa, the other Bees striker from France, even gave his team the advantage (36th).

Tottenham equalized with a magnificent strike from Emerson Royal before half-time (45th + 4) and the two teams were then neutralized in the second half. Richarlison, aligned in point, remained silent until the end.

Next weekend, Brentford will play a West London derby in Fulham’s lair, while Tottenham will (already) host Manchester United!
