The first shock of the English season saw Chelsea and Liverpool share the points (1-1) on Sunday, Axel Disasi equalizing after a Reds opener from Luis Diaz.
The clash of the first day of the Premier League, between two teams that did not finish in the top 4 of the table last season, did not disappoint on Sunday. Chelsea and Liverpool leave with a 1-1 draw to start their season. In full reconstruction, with Mauricio Pochettino in charge, the Blues have largely rivaled these Reds of Jürgen Klopp.
The Liverpuldiens opened the scoring at Stamford Bridge, Mohamed Salah finding Luis Diaz with an exceptional pass (18th). After a goal from the Egyptian left-hander which was refused by the VAR for an offside (29th), it was Axel Disasi, for his great debut across the Channel, who threw himself in front of Alisson to equalize (37th)! In the process, Ben Chilwell gave the advantage to Chelsea but this was also refused by the video referee (39th).

Salah comes out frustrated
Chelsea then took the upper hand in the second half without managing to score, while, on the Liverpool side, Salah left in the 77th minute, unhappy, and Darwin Nunez, launched in place of a disappointing Diogo Jota, tried in vain to win his own. Both teams will have a slightly better chance of winning next weekend, with a London derby against West Ham for CFC and Bournemouth coming to Anfield.
