Harry Kane left his lifelong club, Tottenham, to join Bayern Munich for €110m. Inevitably, if the Englishman finally hopes to win the titles he deserves, it is also heartbreaking to leave his training club. At 30 and after almost two decades in the institution, the striker published a message in which he thanked the supporters and all the people he met at Spurs during his career. “Hi everyone, I wanted to be the first to tell you Tottenham fans that I am leaving the club today. Obviously, there are a lot of emotions right now. I am sad to leave this club where I spent almost 20 years of my life: from an 11 year old boy to a 30 year old man now. There were so many great moments and special memories that I will cherish forever.” he begins at first. “So it’s a big thank you to all my teammates over the years, to all my coaches and managers, to every member of staff connected with the club, everyone involved. I built relationships with a lot of people.”

He then turned to Spurs supporters and also gave some reasons for this transfer he was waiting for to turn a corner in a career that has already passed halfway. “Especially thanks to you Tottenham fans. From the moment I started here I have been one of yours and have given everything I could to make you proud and provide you with so many special moments and memories that will last forever, I hope. I felt it was time to leave. I didn’t want to go into the season with a lot of unresolved future talk. I think it’s important that the new manager and the players focus on trying to get Tottenham to the top, and fight for the trophies. I wish good luck to Ange (Postecoglou, editor’s note) and the guys. Obviously, I’m now going to watch from a fan’s perspective and really hope the team pulls it off. Thank you and see you soon.”
