Case closed. Two years after his abortive transfer to Manchester City, Harry Kane finally leaves Tottenham. But the saga will have taken time before settling. Officialized by Bayern Munich, the English striker could already make his debut this Saturday against RB Leipzig, as part of the German Super Cup. The perfect opportunity for the 30-year-old striker to win his first career trophy. On the other side, Daniel Levy, the president of the Spurs, reacted in a press release to the departure of his former player. “We have been looking for a long time to commit Harry and his representatives to several forms of contract extensions, both short and long term. Harry has, however, made it clear that he wants a new challenge and will not be signing a new contract this summer. It is therefore reluctantly that we accepted his transfer.can we read at first.

“We have seen a product of our Academy become one of the best players to never wear a Spurs shirt and become one of the best strikers in world football. It was a truly remarkable journey. Throughout his 19 years at the club, Harry has been an exemplary professional on and off the pitch and an inspiration to young players who dream of following in his footsteps. I would like to thank Harry for everything he has done for us, all the memories, all the records, we wish him and his family the best for the future. It goes without saying that his return will always be welcome. He is a much loved and valued member of the Spurs family who will forever be in our history.”, concluded the president of Tottenham, visibly open to a return of the English star in the future. What is certain is that Harry Kane will have marked the history of the London club, despite the lack of collective trophies.
