In search of a goalkeeper to replace Thibaut Courtois injured almost all season, Real Madrid had set their sights on Yassine Bounou, the Moroccan goalkeeper of Sevilla FC. After quickly obtaining the agreement of the 32-year-old goalkeeper, the people of Madrid began negotiations with the Andalusian club. But knowing they are in a strong position, Sevilla demanded more than 22 million euros from Real Madrid.
Too large a sum for Casa Blanca who do not want to invest so much for a number one bis goalkeeper and who will miss the CAN in January which he obviously wants to play. Faced with the difficulty of the negotiations, Real Madrid is now turning to Kepa Arrizabalaga, the Spanish Chelsea goalkeeper whom the Blues agree to loan for a season. A perfect deal for Madrid, but not for… Bayern Munich. Indeed, Kepa was Thomas Tuchel’s priority to come and keep the German cages with Neuer’s injury. The Bavarian management had a preference for Yassine Bounou while the former PSG coach preferred Kepa instead. But now, Bayern Munich no longer have a choice (Sommer has left, Raya is getting closer to Arsenal) and could well definitely go for Bounou with a new offer.
