Joakim Maehle signs for Wolfsburg

Was once courted by Olympique de Marseille, Joakim Maehle will finally experience a new adventure in Germany. After Alboorg BK in Denmark, Genk in Belgium and Atalanta Bergamo in Italy, the 26-year-old piston arrives in Wolfsburg. A contract signed until 2027.

On paper, it is a relevant recruitment for the German club which gets its hands on a wing player, able to evolve on the left as on the right. Last season, Joakim Maehle scored 3 goals and delivered 3 caviars in 34 Serie A games with Atalanta, finishing 5th in the championship, just ahead of AS Roma and Juventus. In Germany, there is no doubt that the counter-attacking qualities of the Danish international will be noticed.
