On Saturday, FC Barcelona finally registered Ilkay Gundogan in La Liga, two months after the announcement of the signing of the German international midfielder from Manchester City, reigning European champion.
This news is all the more pleasing for FC Barcelona as Gundogan could have left free if he had not been registered before Sunday’s match against Getafe, in accordance with a clause in his contract.
After Gundogan’s registration, FC Barcelona hope to register three more first-team players in the next 24 hours, as reported Sport. They are Sergi Roberto, Oriol Romeu and Ez Abde.
Roberto’s new contract has yet to be registered by La Liga so he is considered a free agent as his previous deal expires at the end of June. Romeu joined Girona last month, while Ez Abde returns to Barcelona after being loaned out to Osasuna last season.
These three players will be important for FC Barcelona this season, and Xavi Hernandez hopes to have all three at his disposal for the game against Getafe.
