With a double against Al-Hilal, the other big club in Saudi Arabia, Cristiano Ronaldo offered the Arab Cup of champion clubs to Al-Nassr on Saturday evening.
Al-Nassr’s star player since January, Cristiano Ronaldo had yet to win a trophy, leaving Al-Ittihad to win the Saudi Arabian league and Al-Hilal the cup.
“CR7” has just offered its first title against Al-Hilal by winning the Arab Cup of Champions Clubs, a summer competition organized on Saudi soil with the best clubs of the Arabian Peninsula and the Maghreb.
In a 100% Saudi final, the five-time Ballon d’Or crowned his team by scoring twice (74th and 98th in overtime), while Al-Hilal had opened the scoring by Michael on a service of Malcolm (51st). For the 35th collective title of the five-time Champions League winner.
Al-Nassr evolved with his new forces, Marcelo Brozovic, Seko Fofana and Sadio Mané, while Al-Hilal could count on Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The two teams will play their first Saudi Pro League match on Monday.
