This summer transfer window 2023 will go down in history. Whether with the advent of the Saudi championship but also with the power of the Premier League clubs which put the cursor always higher. This Friday, the Liverpool club reached an agreement with Brighton for the transfer of Ecuadorian midfielder Moises Caicedo.

According to information from Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano and all of the foreign press, the two clubs have agreed on a transfer which will cost around 127 million euros. An astronomical sum that would make Moises Caicedo the most expensive rookie in the history of the Reds but also of the Premier League.

The leaders of Liverpool won their duel against the management of the Chelsea Blues who had a serious head start on the file. The Ecuadorian international will therefore strengthen the midfield of the Reds where he should, unless surprised, be the holder of the position of number 6 in front of the defense.

A true centerpiece of Roberto De Zerbi’s squad last season, Moises Caicedo has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. He played 43 matches in all competitions for 1 goal and an assist. But it is above all his contribution on the pitch that has been excellent throughout the season.

Jurgen Klopp strikes a very big blow on the transfer market and affirms his ambitions for the coming season. The Mersey club wants to return to the fore on the national scene with a title or qualification for the next Champions League at stake.
