Castello Lukeba leaves Olympique Lyonnais for RB Leipzig. The 20-year-old central defender will bring in 34 million euros for his training club.
Castello Lukeba and OL, it’s over. Twelve years after arriving at the Lyon club’s training center and two years after signing his first professional contract, the 20-year-old defender is leaving for the Bundesliga.
The international hopefuls (10 caps with the U21s) has signed up for five years with RasenBallsport Leipzig. He therefore enriches the tricolor contingent by joining Mohamed Simakan and El Chadaille Bitshiabu this season.
Extension refused
The press release from Olympique Lyonnais specifies the amount of the transfer: 34 million euros, bonus included, and 20% on any future capital gain.
