Brighton’s Ecuadorian midfielder is the subject of a terrible battle between Chelsea and Liverpool which should hurt the Reds badly.
Moises Caicedo was the main protagonist of a pretty crazy day in the Premier League. The Ecuadorian midfielder from Brighton appeared to be heading for Chelsea when Liverpool entered the fray.
Better, the Reds have even outbid the Blues, by offering 125 million euros (!), against 115 million euros from the London club, according to journalist Nicolo Schira. Liverpool and Brighton have reached an agreement, officially confirmed by Jurgen Klopp this Friday at a press conference.
From London, Caicedo was to head for Liverpool, to spend his medical examination there on Friday afternoon. But finally, a new twist, Sky Sports indicated that the player had decided to snub the Reds to keep his word to Chelsea, with whom he has been in contact for several months. Unless there is a new surprise, it is still Chelsea who will break the bank and win the day.
