Tottenham could carry out a shock operation for Romelu Lukaku as they search for a potential Harry Kane replacement,

Tottenham have finally reached an agreement with Bayern for the England striker, and it’s now up to the player whether he wants to join the German champions this summer. If so, the Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the London club could then make an offer to Lukaku.

The Belgian is outnumbered at Chelsea and is wanted by Juventus, but the Italians can’t afford the 30-year-old until they transfer Dusan Vlahovic.

Lukaku cut ties with Inter after it was revealed he was in talks with Juve and Milan ahead of last season’s Champions League final, while Juventus fans have since protested against the signing of the ex-Everton striker.

The only other option for Lukaku should his move to Juventus fail seems to be the Saudi Pro League. However, if Tottenham enter the competition for the Chelsea striker, it would be a big relief for the Belgian, who wants to stay in Europe. Indeed, reports have suggested the Blues would be willing to hand him over to a Premier League rival, which could be a win-win situation for all parties involved.
