After several months without a club, the Algerian international Youcef Belaili has just found a new club.

The former player of Ajaccio and Brest, Youcef Belaili, will continue his career in his country. Fennec has just made an official commitment to the capital’s club, MC Alger.

Belaili back in Algiers

Belaili had not played in the Algerian league since the 2014/2015 season. At the time, it was with MCA’s rival club, USM Alger. It was just before his two-year suspension for consuming banned products.

The 2019 African champion would have to continue his career abroad. Egyptian, Moroccan and also Turkish clubs have all sought to sign him, but the interested party refused as his financial demands were not met.

By finding a club, Belaili can hope to soon make his comeback in the Algerian selection. He had not been called up last June by coach Djamel Belmadi. His father recently said that his dearest wish is to play another AFCON with his country. If he is competitive with Mouloudia, there is a good chance he will be called up.
