Paris Saint-Germain seem to want to transfer Brazilian striker Neymar Junior for the second consecutive summer, but there is no question of giving him up.
Neymar has been linked with a return to Barcelona this summer, as well as moves to Major League Soccer and Saudi Arabia. The former Blaugrana ace does not yet have the agreement of Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez, but a loan has been mentioned.
According Diario AS, PSG would accept a loan with a mandatory purchase clause, but would prefer a permanent transfer. To do this, he will demand 150 million euros.
This figure seems somewhat surprising, given that it’s no secret that PSG are keen to get Neymar out. Besides, the 31-year-old will be on a hefty salary and his injuries have repeatedly prevented him from playing an important role at the end of the season.
Only the Saudis could perhaps afford this kind of operation, and this price is perhaps intended for their ears. Obviously the market always sets the price in the end, but it would be surprising if the market and PSG were close in their valuations. Anyway, if these conditions are respected, the FC Barcelona, short of money, will not be able to participate in the operation.
