Saudi Pro League matches will be broadcast by Canal+ this season. Information that has shocked many Internet users.
The Saudi Football League has signed a broadcasting agreement with the group Canal +. The encrypted channel will therefore broadcast the matches of the Saudi championship from this season. Subscribers to these will be able to see how the stars who joined the Saudi Pro League are evolving during this summer transfer window. A press release from the Canal group specifies that this agreement runs “for the next two seasons” for France and Africa.

The 2023-2024 season begins on August 11. Canal+ will broadcast two meetings a week on its antennas. RMC Sport, which secured the rights to broadcast all of Al-Nassr’s matches following Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival in February, appears to have failed to match the competition despite a new offer being made.
Since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia:
• Signature of great players from Europe
• Canal + and RMC Sport who buy broadcasting rights
• Nike which becomes the new sponsor of All NassrInfluence pic.twitter.com/E9lipgwpIM

However, the choice of Canal+ to win the rights to the Saudi Arabian championship scandalizes many Internet users.
Football media shame.
After that will complain “yeah Saudi Arabia disrupted the whole market, it’s nonsense with this money bla-bla-bla”. You are disrupting the world of football by paying these rights.
Properly cover the L1 before trying anything else. https://t.co/jO7uE5uPLK

On Twitter, many comments refer to the low level of the Saudi Pro League, believing that the stars who joined it this summer are in pre-retirement.
Canal + prefers to buy the rights to the Saudi Arabian league! It’s true that it’s such a high-level football! #leagueofretirees ! 😂

The issue of human rights is also raised.
The horror. Total. Absolute.
Saudi Arabia, which violates the most basic human rights.
Saudi Arabia which finances the Islamic State.
The army of @KSAembassyFRA who kills in Yemen with a vengeance.
What a shame.— The name (@_Papa_Dave) August 8, 2023
