RC Lens are set to strike a huge blow for the centre-forward position.

Deprived of a top striker since the departure of Lois Openda, RC Lens is on the way to obtaining an important acquisition in this position. The artesian club is likely to sign the new one that the whole Ligue 1 is fighting for.

Lens finally holds its striker

The goalscorer in question is Folarin Balogun. The former Reims is under contract with Arsenal, but the London club does not intend to keep him this season. He should once again be given on loan or be transferred definitively. The vice-champion of France has therefore positioned himself in the hope of welcoming him.

According to Insider Mohamed Toubache-Ter, the Sang et Or entered the race for the American international just a few hours ago. But they are confident of their chance to beat Monaco and Marseille on the wire and offer the services of the one who scored 21 goals in the previous Ligue 1 exercise.

Note that Inter Milan is also interested in Balogun. The nerazzurri leaders even obtained the player’s agreement. Nevertheless, this track took the lead in the wing at the Lombards and it is not at all sure that the transfer will materialize.

Before setting his sights on Balogun, Lens had thought of other solutions for his offensive sector. The Michy Batshuayi option had been considered for a time before finally being abandoned.
