Strasbourg: Chelsea’s new gift

Now linked to Chelsea, the RCSA is reaping the rewards in this summer transfer window.

Three weeks ago, Club Brugge defender Abakar Sylla landed in Alsace for 20 million euros – a record transfer for Racing.

This Tuesday, it is a present arrived directly from the Blues who joins the ranks of Strasbourg in the person of Angelo Gabriel.

The 18-year-old Brazilian striker, freshly poached from Santos for 15 million euros, is on loan for the season, with no option to buy.

Earlier in the day, Strasbourg had registered the reinforcement of two 20-year-old ex-Bordeaux: defender Junior Mwanga and winger Dilane Bakwa.
