Olympique de Marseille is about to release one of its attacking midfielders.

While departures were expected in the midfield sector, Marseille would have managed to exfiltrate one of the wingers who was not in Marcelino’s plans. The player in question is Konrad De La Fuente.

OM down in attack

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the American international (3 caps) will take over the management of Eibar. He will play on loan for a season in this Segunda Division formation.

This is not the first time that Marseille have loaned this former Barça player. Already last season, the club had chosen to temporarily sell it. De La Fuente sent to Greece (Olympiakos), where he barely played.

The Miami native arrived at OM in August 2021 when Jorge Sampaoli was still in charge of the team. However, he was never able to do well on Marseille soil. All in all, he has only accumulated 23 matches with the Provençaux, including 12 as a starter for an overall playing time of 1075 minutes. And his counter of decisive gestures remained blocked at three units: 1 goal and 2 assists.
