Lionel Messi continues to blaze in the United States. The Argentinian was involved in the four goals of Inter Miami in Dallas, including a double and another decisive free kick at the end of the game.

When will Lionel Messi stop? Not immediately obviously. The Argentinian still scored a card for the fourth game with Inter Miami, on the lawn of Dallas (4-4, 3-5 pens), in the round of 16 of the Leagues Cup.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or was playing his first away game, but he scored very quickly, with a nice strike from the entrance to the penalty area for the opener (6th). Things got complicated, as Dallas led 3-1 then 4-2. But Messi was in all good shots.

The former Barcelonan shifted Jordi Alba, whose center back found Benjamin Cremaschi (65th). Then it was on one of his free kicks that the unfortunate Marco Farfan placed a header in his own net (80th). In the process, Inter Miami obtained another free kick and Messi, already decisive in the exercise for his very first match with the Florida club, again deposited a marvelous strike in the skylight (85th).

After a penalty shootout where Messi and Busquets scored their attempt, Inter Miami qualified and continued their good run. We recall that David Beckham’s club remained on 11 games without a win in MLS before the arrival of the “Barcelona” colony (Messi, Busquets, Alba). Messi, he is now at 7 goals in four matches. Americans get what they pay for…
