Possible opponent of the Blue in the quarter-finals of the World Cup, Australia has mastered its subject against Denmark (2-0). And its star, Samantha Kerr, was able to play again.

In this World Cup full of surprises, Monday will have finally qualified the two favorites of the day. At 10 against 11, England came out against Nigeria (0-0, 4-2 tab). And in the process, Australia eliminated Denmark (2-0).

It will be the future opponent of France or Morocco in the quarter-finals. For Les Bleues, this is not really good news, since the host country seems to be gaining momentum in this competition.

Beaten on the second day by Nigeria (2-3), the Matildas still won first place in their group by beating Canada (4-0), yet the reigning Olympic champion. Against Denmark, the Australians did not shake, scoring a goal in each period, by Caitlin Foord (29th) and Hailey Raso (70th).

At the same time, this match saw the return to competition of local star, Samantha Kerr. Hit in the calf since the start of the tournament, the Chelsea striker came into play in the 80th minute. And that too will give a good boost to the morale of the Australians before the quarter-finals.
