West Ham will offer a Mexican midfielder with a rather well-stocked career for someone 25 years old.
The departure this summer of Declan Rice for Arsenal, against 115 million euros, allows West Ham to be quite comfortable to replace the English international.
The leaders of the Premier League club, winner a few weeks ago of the Europa League Conference with Rice as captain, have probably hit the mark.

The Hammers are preparing to welcome Edson Alvarez, the Mexican defensive midfielder from Ajax Amsterdam, indicated on Monday 90min and journalist Fabrizio Romano. The operation could be concluded around 38 million euros.

At 25, Edson Alvarez already has 69 caps and two participations in the World Cup in the jersey of the Sorting (2018 and 2022) He arrived at Ajax in July 2019 from Club America.
