Manchester City are set to part ways with defender Aymeric Laporte this month following the arrival of Josko Gvardiol.
Laporte played a reduced role in the Etihad Stadium squad during the 2022/23 campaign, as City won a historic treble and the first Champions League in their history.
The lack of first-team game time is a source of frustration for the 29-year-old centre-back, who is keen to play regularly at the club in order to retain his starting spot with Spain for Euro 2024.
FC Barcelona have dropped their interest in Laporte after agreeing a deal with Inigo Martinez and Premier League side Crystal Palace are also following him.
According to DailyMirror, City decided to sell Laporte before the end of the summer transfer window in order to find funds after paying 77 million pounds to sign Gvardiol.
Laporte is ready to stay in England, but he could return to Spain if he receives an offer from a Champions League or Europa League side.
